David Green

Leaving Great Yarmouth Art College, I began my art career in a graphic design studio, before joining an advertising agency as an account director. For over thirty years before retiring, my career was in sales and marketing.

Prior to retirement, I was introduced to Pastels. Wow! Drawing in colour! Painting in pastel allows me time to achieve fairly quickly, a painting in full colour. Painting in Oil takes a little longer. I now use both mediums depending on the subject I am painting.

Before moving to Nottingham from Norwich, where the landscape can be flat, but the skies are big, sea or water often feature in my pictures.

Sales of my work are from local exhibitions, two galleries in Norfolk and a gallery in South West London. Living in Norfolk, I was a member of The Norfolk and Norwich Art Circle, and The East Anglian Marine Artists.
