Description

Barry Freeman says:

My approach to painting is to take out the abstract elements of the landscape without being completely abstract. Paint what I feel when in front of the motif rather than what is actually there. Keep it simple. It’s not what one puts in a painting that counts, but what is left out. I am drawn to colour in art and my earliest influences were “The Scottish Colourists”. I never tire of landscape and can paint the same subject many times. For it is not new landscapes that an artist needs, but a new way of looking.
