This project has already gathered much support both online and from my existing art gallery in West Sussex. Richmond 33’ has just been on display as part of this year’s Royal Society of British Artists exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London. My love of trees and tree conservation has also been recognised by Woodland Trust (largest tree charity in UK). For the second year running they have invited me to help judge England’s ’Tree of the Year’.

Description

Richard is passionate about his subject. He spends much of his time finding and admiring all kinds of wonderful trees – all around the UK. Through his drawings and their associated GPS references Richard strives to create stronger emotional bonds between people and individual trees. Richard believes that once we meet and ‘connect’ with a tree we are more likely to care about its long-term welfare.
